5. Ferndale: Golden Eagles went back to their running identity to pick up win No. 1.

6. Nooksack Valley: Pioneers’ run defense struggled against Cascade Christian.

7. Burlington-Edison: Tigers showed vulnerability during 18-point loss to Sedro.

8. Blaine: Poor second half cost Borderites a shot to score upset against Ferndale.

9. Lynden Christian: Undefeated Lyncs can make a statement win against Meridian.

10. Meridian: Trojans bounced back nicely with a shutout win over non-league Chelan.

11. Mount Baker: All is right in Deming after two blowout wins. Now comes Nooksack.

12. Anacortes: Seahawks have work to do in order to catch up with rest of the 2A’s skill level.
