Fourth-ranked Ferndale stayed unbeaten with a 35-3 win over league opponent Stanwood Friday at Ferndale High School.
The Golden Eagles faced a hot team in Stanwood, but managed to stuff all of the Spartans momentum early. Ferndale only gave up one first down in the first half and led 21-3 at halftime.
Ferndale coach Jamie Plenkovich was quick to credit his team’s offensive and defensive line.
“The guys up front set the tempo,” Plenkovich said. “We controlled the line which got things going on both sides.”
