Mount Baker has moved its home football game against Lynden Christian on Friday, Oct. 21, to Sedro-Woolley High School, according to an email from Quinn LeSage on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Kickoff still will be at 7 p.m.
Sedro-Woolley offers an artificial playing surface as Mount Baker (7-0, 4-0 1A NWC) looks to clinch its fifth consecutive league title outright. The Mountaineers secured at least a share of the crown with a 57-36 win over Nooksack Valley on Monday, Oct. 17.
Week 9 date changes
Two 2A NWC games in Week 9 have been moved forward one day. Blaine’s game at Burlington-Edison and Bellingham’s game at Lakewood will now be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27.

The moves were necessary so Lakewood and Burlington-Edison, both in contention for a district playoff spot, could resume their game Tuesday, Nov. 1. The Cougars and Tigers had their Sept. 23 meeting postponed by the deadly shooting at the nearby Cascade Mall in Burlington.
