Lummi football coach Jim Sandusky announced Monday, Oct. 3, that Tulalip Heritage has forfeited its Northwest Football League 1B game against the Blackhawks, originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7.
The game was supposed to be the league opener for top-ranked Lummi.
Tulalip played a six-man game against Clallam Bay on Saturday, Oct. 1, winning 51-23.
Sandusky said he is waiting to hear back from Orcas Christian, which he’s heard is also looking for a Week 6 opponent.
