Lummi football to kick off earlier when it plays 3 games in 8 days

The kickoff for Lummi’s nonleague football game against Taholah on Friday, Sept. 16, has been moved up an hour to 6 p.m., according to Blackhawks coach Jim Sandusky.

Lummi also announced that its game at Muckleshoot Tribal has been moved to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.

That move was made so the Blackhawks could add another home date Saturday, Sept. 24, when the Blackhawks will host Orcas Island at 1:30 p.m. The extra game will give the state’s top-ranked team in Class 1B a 10th regular-season game, though it now will have to play three games in eight days to do so.
