Scouting report: The Monarchs return to Yakima after placing sixth last year. Top-ranked Mark Morris’ length, skill and the use of a 2-3 zone frustrated Lynden in a regional-round top-three showdown. The Monarchs still had to stave off a furious fourth-quarter rally to hold on for the win, Spencer Sweet scored 19, Will Burghardt had 16 and Evan Troy and Geordi Morrow each added 11 points.
