Scouting report: Sophomore Rachel Berg scored a team-high 13 points, while freshman Nichole Bloch added 11 in Bellevue Christian’s regional win over Seattle Academy. Bloch had three 3-pointers in the game. The Vikings led throughout, but Seattle Academy cut the lead to as little as three with 32 seconds left, and BC converted enough free throws to move onto the quarterfinals for the first time since 2011.

Cashmere still has a relatively young roster, with Breanne Knishka the only senior on the team. She leads the Bulldogs with 21.5 points per game. Her team has won three postseason games by 82 points combined so far this year.

Scouting report: Granger heads to the quarterfinals for a second straight year, after it lost to eventual champion Lynden Christian 63-40 last year. The Spartans rebounded to finish sixth. Granger managed to pull away from Nooksack Valley late in the regional, using a 24-7 run. Alexis Castro led the way with 22 points, while Angelica Oliveros scored 18. Granger is young, as Oliveros is one of only two seniors on the team.

Her younger sister, Daylee, added 16 points. King’s is appearing in the quarterfinals for the third straight year after a runner-up performance last year, when they lost to Lynden Christian in the 1A championship game.

It marked the Leopards’ first regional win in three tries and sent them to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2009.

Scouting report: The third-ranked Eagles were never seriously challenged in their regional, as they got balanced scoring from Jocelyn Cook-Cox (12 points, 10 rebounds), Stefanie Marikis (11 points, 9 rebounds) and Kelsey Jones (10 points, 3 assists). Though Cook-Cox leads the team, Lakeside’s balance has made it difficult on opponents all season. This marks the Eagles’ first trip to the quarterfinals since 2011.

Kara Bajema had a big game with 24 points and eight rebounds, and Haley Hollander had 12 points. 6-foot-4 Sara Dougan, who scored 10, can be a matchup problem.
