Mount Baker falls to Anacortes 75-42

Mount Baker’s boys’ basketball team fell to Anacortes 75-42 on Monday, Jan. 26, at Mount Baker High School.

The Mountaineers’ Colton Ranson finished with 16 points, Timothy Soares added 10 points and nine boards.

“Anacortes did a nice job putting pressure on us and we couldn’t find a way to recover,” Rob Gray said in a phone interview. “They shot the ball well. We just looked overwhelmed tonight.”

Ranson’s leadership throughout the game kept Mount Baker competing, Gray noted.

Mount Baker will play Bellingham next at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, on the road.
