Squalicum’s Moore and Mitchell record double-doubles in 68-57 victory

Harper Moore and Damek Mitchell both finished with a double-double. Totaling 12 points, 10 rebounds and 15 points, 10 assists, respectively, in Squalicum’s boys’ basketball team’s 68-57 win against Anacortes on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Squalicum High School.

The Storm’s Josiah Westbrook led the team in scoring with 20 points.

“We executed really well. Guys shared the ball. Westbrook came out and had eight points in the first (quarter) to get us going,” Squalicum coach Dave Dickson said in a phone interview.

Squalicum had good play from its bench tonight, Dickson said, highlighting the game as a great team effort.

The Storm will play Sehome next at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Sehome.
