Lummi wins the defensive battle in its 46-36 victory over Providence

Lummi’s boys basketball team defeated Providence 46-36 on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Lummi High School.

The Blackhawks’ Trazil Lane finished with 12 points and Kavarez Lane had 10.

“It was one of those games where neither team got it going offensively. I’m proud of how we gutted it out in a hard fought battle,” Lummi coach Jerome Toby said in a phone interview.

Lummi will play Tulalip next at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, at Tulalip.
