Lummi earns 69-36 victory against Orcas Christian

Lummi’s boys’ basketball team cruised to a 69-36 victory against Orcas Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Lummi High School.

The Blackhawks’ Trazil Lane led the game with 24 points, Austin Brockie and Jacob Roberts both contributed 12.

“At halftime we made adjustments, sharpened up on defense and rebounded well,” Lummi coach Jerome Toby said in a phone interview. “Our good defense was leading to great offense.”

Toby highlighted Dean Williams and Roberts as players who did good in the paint throughout the game.

Lummi takes on Providence next at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at home.
