Lynden Christian’s defensive effort leads to 59-22 victory over Sedro-Woolley

Lynden Christian’s girls’ basketball team only allowed six points in the first half en route to its 59-22 victory against Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Lynden Christian High School.

The Lyncs’ Sara Dougan led the game with 17 points and Kara Bajema earned 12.

“We had a lot of energy. The girls came out and played hard,” Lynden Christian coach Brady Bomber said in a phone interview. “We did a nice job making the extra pass and hitting open shots. It was nice to see.”

Dougan and Makayla Lancaster were two players Bomber pointed out whom got the team going with their leadership in the game.

Lynden Christian takes on Sehome next at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, at home.
