Ferndale falls to Sedro-Woolley 67-61

Ferndale’s boys’ basketball team couldn’t contain Sedro-Woolley’s Jackson Price in its 67-61 defeat on Tuesday, Dec. 30, in the Bulldog Holiday Classic at Mount Vernon High School.

The Golden Eagles’ John Weg finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Malik Ivory added 11 points. Sedro-Woolley’s Price finished the game with 36 points.

“Two words: Jackson Price. He definitely is a special player in our league and we didn’t contain him,” Ferndale coach Monte Walton said in a phone interview. “We got into a little foul trouble also.”

Ferndale takes on Squalicum next at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, at Squalicum.
