Ferndale defeats Marysville-Getchell 68-35

Ferndale’s boys’ basketball team defeated Marysville-Getchell 68-35 on Monday, Dec. 22, at Ferndale High School.

The Golden Eagles’ Austin Honeycutt led the game with 17 points and John Weg finished with a 16 point, 10 rebound double-double.

“We got tremendous support off our bench play. Holmes and King off the bench got 20 points for us,” Ferndale coach Monte Walton said in a phone interview.

Sky Freeman led the game with six assists for the Golden Eagles off the bench.

Ferndale will play Mount Vernon next at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, at the Bulldog Holiday Classic.
