Sehome comes up short in 60-56 defeat against Arlington

Sehome’s boys’ basketball team fell short against Arlington in its 60-56 defeat Monday, Dec. 22, at Arlington High School.

The Mariners’ Leif Anderson led the team with 15 points, and Langston Engle and Marcus Montag both contributed seven of their own.

“In the fourth quarter (Anacortes) made a 3-pointer that they got fouled on. Missed the free throw but grabbed the rebound and made a layup to tie the game,” Sehome coach A.J. Labree said in a phone interview. “We had every chance to win but couldn’t quite get it.”

Sehome plays Sedro-Woolley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at home.
