Bellarmine Prep defeats Lynden Christian 55-44

Lynden Christian’s girls’ basketball team fell victim to a 19-2 run by Bellarmine Prep in its 55-44 defeat Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Showare Center in Kent.

The Lyncs’ Kara Bajema led the game with 18 points and Haley Hollander added 11.

“We were up at one point by 10, midway through the second quarter,” Lynden Christian coach Brady Bomber said. “But Bellarmine went on a 19-2 run in the second and third quarters and we couldn’t quite catch up.”

Bajema and Hollander competed the whole game and were good leaders for the Lyncs, Bomber said.
