Lynden dominates boards in 56-39 win against Cedar Park Christian

Lynden Christian’s boys’ basketball team can thank its rebounding for the 56-39 victory against Bothell Cedar Park Christian on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Lynden Christian.

The Lyncs outrebounded the Eagles 51-23 in the game.

Lynden Christian’s Cody Fransen led the game with a career-high 26 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double in the last four games. Zach Roetcisoender added 8 points.

“We really turned up the full court pressure in the second half, which allowed us to outscore them by a large margin,” Lynden Christian coach Roger DeBoer said in a phone interview.

Lynden Christian outscored Bothell Cedar Park Christian by 23 points in the second half.

The Lyncs take on Sedro-Woolley next at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, at home.
