Lynden falls apart in second half against Anacortes

Lynden’s girls’ basketball team was defeated by Anacortes 50-44 on Monday, Dec. 8, at Anacortes.

Elisa Kooiman led the Lions with 14 points and Kaitlyn Mark added 13.

“Anacortes came out, punched us in the face and had their way with us,” Lynden coach Rob Adams said in a phone interview.

After outscoring the Seahawks 31-18 in the first half, the Lions fell apart in the second half after being outscored 32-13.

Lynden’s next game will be against Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Ferndale.
