Mount Baker has strong second half in win against Anacortes

Mount Baker’s girls’ basketball team defeated Coupeville 59-44 on Monday, Dec. 8, at Coupeville.

The Mountaineers’ Emily Brandland led the game with 24 points and Emily Yost added 22.

“In the first half we didn’t really use our inside game and took quick shots,” Mount Baker coach Brenda Ellis said in a phone interview. “Our goal in the second half was to go inside more.”
