Cody Fransen’s double-double lifts Lyncs over King’s Way Christian

Lynden Christian’s boys’ basketball team won its final game in Arizona, defeating King’s Way Christian 62-45 on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Cody Fransen had a double-double in the game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Zach Roetcisoender led the game with 15 points.

The two teams were tied going into halftime, but in the second half the Lyncs’ outscored King’s Way 36-19 to come away with a win.

“The biggest thing it came down to was our depth, we really utilized our 11 players,” Lynden Christian coach Roger DeBoer said in a phone interview. “We wore them down in our transition game in the second half.”

Lynden Christian’s next game will be against Bellingham at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Bellingham.
