Squalicum’s shooting struggles against La Conner

Squalicum’s girls’ basketball team’s offensive struggles showed in its 54-35 loss against La Conner on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Squalicum.

The Storm’s Sarah Hulbert led the team with 13 points and Chalae Wolters added 7.

“We were an offensive mess tonight, we had so many opportunities in the key that we missed,” Squalicum coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. “It was tough for our girls because we couldn’t match up with their physicality.”

Squalicum’s 11 for 62 shooting night shows the offensive struggles the Storm had in the game.

The Storm play Oak Harbor next at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, at Squalicum.
