Squalicum’s strong finish key in win

Squalicum’s boys’ basketball defeated Nooksack Valley 65-46 on Friday, Dec. 5, at Squalicum.

The Storm’s Josiah Westbrook led the game with 23 points and Nooksack Valley’s Josh Gimmaka led the team with 15.

“We had a good start defensively, we came out and set a good tone early,” Squalicum coach Dave Dickson said in a phone interview.

Squalicum outscored the Pioneers 17-8 in the first quarter and ended the game on a huge run to cap off the win.

The Storm play next at 4 p.m.
