Anderson’s 23 helps Mariners close out Red Raiders

Sehome’s boys’ basketball team defeated Bellingham 82-66 on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Sehome.

The Mariners’ Leif Anderson led the team with 25 points, Tanner Clark and Marcus Montag added 15 and 14 points respectively.

Bellingham’s Kyle Hofstetter and Kalien Hayes led the Red Raiders with 18 points apiece.

“It was a really closely contested game for three and a half quarters,” Sehome coach A.J. LaBree said in a phone interview. “I thought both teams played extremely hard in an early-season game.”

Sehome had a strong fourth quarter, outscoring Bellingham 28-13 to cap off the win.

Bellingham takes on Nooksack Valley at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at home. Sehome plays an Australian team at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at home.
