Bellingham’s baseball team defeated Lynden Christian 3-0 on Monday, May 4, at Joe Martin Field.
The Red Raiders’ Aidan Quinn earned the win and Taiji VanDalen received the loss for the Lyncs. Nate Pearsall went 2 for 3 with a run scored, Quinn went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Alex Richard went 1 for 2 with an RBI to lead Bellingham at the plate.
“Aidan was fantastic. Threw a complete game,” Bellingham coach David Farrell said in a phone interview. “He kept the ball in the zone and had a low pitch count. Did a great job.”
Bellingham will either be the No. 3 seed or the No. 4 seed in the Class 2A Northwest Conference District tournament. Lynden Christian’s next game will be against Nooksack Valley at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at home.
