Lyncs fall to Tigers

Lynden Christian’s softball team took a 6-2 Northwest Conference loss to Burlington-Edison on Tuesday, April 28, at Burlington-Edison

The Lyncs grabbed an early lead with a run in the first, but Burlington answered with a pair of runs in the second inning. LC evened it up again in the third, but the Tigers grabbed a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth to steal the win.

“We had good pitching and good defense. They just had a little better pitching than we did,” Lynden Christian coach Mitch Moorlag said in a phone interview.

Sam Van Loo went 1 for 2 with a double for the Lyncs, who only managed a pair of hits in the game.

Lynden Christian plays again at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Meridian.
