Blaine gives up four runs in fourth inning in 9-5 loss

Blaine’s softball team fell victim to a four-run fourth inning by Sedro-Woolley in its 9-5 loss on Monday, April 27, at Janicki Fields.

The Cubs jumped out to an early three-run lead after the first inning. Blaine was able to score three runs in the top of the second, but the fourth inning proved to be too much for Blaine to recover from in the loss.

“It was a good game,” Blaine coach Alisa Burk said in a phone interview. “Sedro had some really clutch hits in some situations in the fourth (inning).”

Blaine will take on Mount Baker next at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, on the road.
