Lynden falls short to Burlington-Edison

Lynden’s baseball team was defeated by Burlington-Edison 5-4 on Monday, April 27, at Lynden High School.

Dalton Ohligschlager received the loss in the game for the Lions. Jordan Wittenberg went 1 for 3 with a triple and an RBI, Anthony Garcia went 2 for 4, Carson Smith went 0 for 2 with two RBI to lead Lynden at the plate.

“It was a good ball game,” Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. “Wittenberg was left stranded at third in the sixth and then we went down one, two, three in the seventh (inning).”

Lynden will take on Nooksack Valley next at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at home.
