Meridian goes scoreless against Sehome

Jake Albert pitched a quality game for Sehome’s baseball team in its 8-0 victory against Meridian on Tuesday, April 21, at Meridian High School.

Sehome scored eight runs on 10 hits, Meridian was able to get four hits with three errors committed in the game.

“We got outcompeted. They played harder than we did today and the results showed it for sure,” Meridian coach Steve Slesk said in an interview. “Jake Albert pitched a great game. Kept us off balance and I thought he was the difference today.”

Owen Wright led Sehome at the plate with a 3 for 4 performance. Meridian’s Dalton Biehle went 1 for 2 at the plate to lead the Trojans.

Meridian will take on Squalicum next at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at home. Sehome will play Lynden Christian next at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Joe Martin Field.
