Storm cruise past Lyncs

Squalicum’s boys’ baseball team benefited from a six-run second inning on its way to an 11-0 Northwest Conference win over Lynden Christian on Tuesday, April 14, at Lynden Christian.

Connor Sage went 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball and Ernie Yake drove in two runs for the Storm.

“Connor gave us a good outing on the mound,” Squalicum coach John Inge said in a phone interview. “We didn’t do anything specatacular, just played good fundamental baseball.”

The Lyncs got hits from Ty VanDyken, Josh Heutink and Marc Meenderinck.

Squalicum plays Bellingham on Thursday, April 16, at Joe Martin Stadium. LC faces Meridian Thursday on the road.
