Corbin Puhan took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, struck out three and allowed no earned runs to lead Ferndale’s baseball team to a 10-1 victory against Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, April 14, at Janicki Fields.
Puhan earned his fourth win of the season for the Golden Eagles. Kyler Brudwick went 2 for 3 with three runs and an RBI, Kyler Schemstad went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI and Nate Carlson went 1 for 1 with two RBI to lead Ferndale at the plate.
“We got off to a slow start offensively and finally pinned three on them in the third,” Ferndale coach Donny Hennigs said in a phone interview. “It was an all around good team victory today.”
Ferndale takes on Anacortes next at 4 p.m. Friday, April 17, at home.
