Rylan Severson threw a no-hitter, going six innings with seven strikouts and one walk allowed to lead Lynden’s baseball team in its 10-0 victory against Mount Baker on Monday, April 6, at Lynden High School.
“He threw a gem. The one walk kept him from a perfect game,” Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. “He threw the ball well and got his off-speed stuff going early in the game.”
Lions Anthony Garcia went 3 for 4 with a run scored and four RBI, Jared House went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Jordan Wittenberg went 2 for 3 with two RBI and four stolen bases.
But its the plays that were made in the field that stood out to White in the game. He highlighted Dalton Ohligschlager for making nice plays at third base and a play made by left fielder Connor Shine to save the no-hitter.
