House goes 5 innings in Lions’ 5-3 win

Jared House pitched five innings, gave up four hits and allowed two earned runs in his first varsity start as Lynden’s baseball team beat Cedarcrest 5-3 on Saturday, April 4, at Cedarcrest High School.

“Pitching was a key in the game,” Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. “We were impressed with (House). He had really good command of all three pitches today and had error-free defense behind our pitching staff today.”

Lions’ Dalton Ohligschlager went 2 for 4 with a run scored, House went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI, Austin Jones went 1 for 2 with an RBI and Anthony Garcia went 1 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.
