Sehome scored 10 first-inning runs, had 18 hits, and took a 15-2 win over Squalicum in five innings Thursday, April 2, at Squalicum in a Northwest Conference game.
Gabby Gorosave was 4 for 4 to lead the Mariners, adding four runs, three RBI, a pair of doubles and a triple. She was a home run short of the cycle and had a hit go off the wall, falling just short, Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview.
“As a team we’re just picking each other up and everyone is hitting well,” Emerson said.
Kaeli Andersen led the Storm by going 1 for 3 with a run and an RBI. Emerson also complemented her play at third on defense.
