Bellingham commits 5 errors in 6-2 loss

William Woods went 2 for 2 with two RBI for Bellingham’s baseball team in its 6-2 loss against Squalicum on Wednesday, April 1, at Joe Martin Field.

Connor Sage earned the win for the Storm and Austin Shenton received the loss for the Red Raiders.

“Sage pitched well for Squalicum. He kept the ball around the zone and made us put the ball in play,” Bellingham coach David Farrell said in a phone interview.

The Storm’s Ernie Yake went 2 for 3, Carter Nickelson went 2 for 2 with a double and Kyle Little went 2 for 3 with three RBI.

Bellingham hosts Friday Harbor next at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Joe Martin Field and Squalicum takes on Nooksack Valley next at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, on the road.
