Gorosave’s two homers lead Mariners

Sehome’s softball team was superb at the plate in a 13-5 Northwest Conference win over Mount Baker on Tuesday, March 31, at Frank Geri Field.

Gabby Gorosave led the way with two home runs, as the Mariners compiled 18 hits.

“She hit the ball hard four times,” Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview. “She hit the ball really well today.”

Mallory Kruzich earned the win in the circle with three strikeouts in seven innings and Aleks Toivola took the loss for the Mountaineers.

Emily Yost hit a home run for the Mountaineers as she went 3 for 4.

Sehome plays Squalicum on Thursday, April 2, on the road. Baker plays Bellingham on Wednesday, April 1, at home.
