Ohligschlager throws complete game in Lynden’s 9-0 win

Dalton Ohligschlager led Lynden’s baseball team, pitching a complete game and allowing only one hit with six strikeouts to cap off a 9-0 victory against Lynden Christian on Monday, March 30, at Lynden Christian.

The Lions’ Jordan Wittenberg hit a home run on the first pitch of the game. Jared House went 3 for 4 with an RBI and Anthony Garcia went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Lynden scored five runs in the seventh inning to secure the win.

“Dalton had constant command of his pitching,” Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. “He was efficient and had five innings where he threw under 10 pitches.”

Ohligschlager earned the win for Lynden and Josh Heutink received the loss for Lynden Christian. Heutink also got the lone hit for the Lyncs.

Lynden takes on Ferndale next at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, on the road and Lynden Christian will play Coupeville next at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, on the road.
