Squalicum loses league opener to Anacortes

A three run-home run by Ty Johnson proved to be the difference of the game as Squalicum’s baseball team lost to Anacortes 4-1 on Thursday, March 26, at Anacortes High School.

David Stealy received the loss for the Storm. Stealy went 1 for 3 with a run scored and Connor Sage went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

“David started slow but was shut-down after that,” Squalicum coach John Inge said in a phone interview. “We hit some balls hard. Just didn’t find the holes today.”

Squalicum will take on La Conner next at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at home.
