Sehome’s softball team scored in every inning of a 16-1 win in four innings over Lynden Christian on Thursday, March 19, at Lynden Christian.
Morgan Henry led the Mariners with a perfect 2-for-2 hitting performance with four runs scored, three RBI, a double and a home run. Mallory Kruzich was also 3 for 3 with a run, 5 RBI and two doubles.
Kruzich also got the win in the circle to improve to 1-1 on the year. She struck out three Lyncs and walked one.
“We hit the ball obviously very well today, but the big thing was we made plays we needed to and pitched better than we had the last couple of games,” Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview. “Mallory looked good. She kept the ball down a little better today, only gave up the three hits, and hit her spots better today.”
