Connor Erickson went 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored to lead Ferndale’s baseball team to a 6-4 victory against Lynden on Thursday, March 19, at Lynden High School.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead heading into the fifth inning and were able to halt a late comeback from Lynden to secure the win.
“We had some guys that swung the bat well today and we did the little things to move the guys over,” Ferndale coach Donny Hennigs said in a phone interview.
Kyler Schemstead earned the win for Ferndale and Rylan Seversen received the loss for Lynden. Nate Carlson went 2 for 3 and added two runs for the Golden Eagles.

The Lions’ Jordan Wittenberg went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. Dalton Ohligschlager went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Ferndale will take on Anacortes next at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, on the road and Lynden will play North Kitsap next at 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 20, on the road.
