Outlook: For the second straight year, the Trojans will get a new coach directing the team. Megan Monaghan steps onto 2015’s squad and she’ll try to implement a more structured system. “Last year, we weren’t very organized,” Monaghan said in a phone interview. “I think that threw off the girls. I’m just getting them back in routine and holding them accountable.” The Trojans return a strong cast of key contributors from last season including pitchers Emma Weg and Eve Castro. “As long as they pitch their best and work with each other and communicate with me what works for them and what doesn’t, our defense is looking pretty strong,” Monaghan said. On the offensive end, center fielder Keana Waugh heads the group. “She’s going to be a strong hitter and a leader on the field.” Joining her are catcher Bailey Haugen and shortstop Madeline Gray.
