Olson leads LC to 1-stroke win at North Bellingham

Lincoln Olson shot a 74 to take medalist honors and Lynden Christian’s boys’ golf team held off Meridian by one stroke on Tuesday, May 12, at North Bellingham Golf Course.

The Lyncs, who totaled a 439 as a team, also benefited from an 83 from Erik Vander Velden, a 91 from Travis Roosma, a 94 from Koy Sterk and a 97 from Kaden Sterk.

The Trojans finished with a 440 and were led by Nick Rautenberg’s 83 and had four of six golfers shoot in the 80s, including Jon Kihm (85), Joel Eschbach (88) and Ben Ratzlaff (89).

Mount Baker was led by Mason Bass and his 88, as the Mountaineers finished with a 484 and Nooksack Valley’s Michael O’Bryan led the Pioneers with a 98.
