Anderson leads Ferndale to win at North Bellingham

Jillian Anderson shot a 98 to lead Ferndale’s girls’ golf team to a first-place finish on Tuesday, May 12, at North Bellingham Golf Course.

Shelby McCauley contributed a score of 99 for the Golden Eagles. The first time any golfer has broken 100 for the team, Meridian coach Steve Lawrence said in a phone interview.

Meridian’s Anna Ratzlaff finished as the medalist with an individual score of 94.

Mount Baker finished second in the match and was led by Natalie Verry’s score of 95. Gemma Wilson shot a 100 for the Mountaineers.
