Bryce Sterk won three events to lead Lynden’s boys’ track and field team against Mount Baker and Anacortes on Thursday, May 7, at Lynden High School.
Sterk ran a winning time of 11.94 seconds in the 100, tied for first in the 300 hurdles with teammate Jordan Thompson with a time of 45.39 and Sterk ran the second leg of the Lions’ winning 4x400 relay team (3:37.95).
Thompson also won the 110 hurdles (17.16) and ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay (3:37.95).
Grant Scarlett led the Lions in the field events. He won the shot put with a mark of 39 feet, 9 inches and made a winning mark of 19-05 in the long jump.
Lynden and Mount Baker will compete next at 4:30 p.m. in the Class 2A Sub-District meet at Civic Stadium.
