Rachel Dorr and Kim Dorr completed their undefeated season in doubles play for Squalicum’s girls’ tennis team as it suffered a 5-2 team loss to Anacortes in a make-up match on Tuesday, May 5, at Squalicum.
The Dorr sisters cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win to finish with an unblemished record.
“They’ve been playing good solid points all the way through,” Squalicum coach Joe O’Brien said in a phone interview. “They come to the net well and put pressure on their opponents. They’ve been practicing their volleys and overheads. Their athleticism stands out because they’re so quick and aggressive.”
Susan Laitsch had the Storm’s other win, 6-1, 6-1 in singles action.
