Storm girls second at Tomahawk

The Squalicum girls’ track and field team took second place at the Tomahawk Classic on Saturday, May 2, at Quil Ceda Stadium with five event wins.

Jessica DeVere won the 100 by more than one-tenth of a second with a time of 12.92 seconds. Kim Hazlett also won the 400 with a 1:01.06.

The 4x100 relay team was victorious with a 50.78, and the 4x200 won with a 1:48.80.

Kirsten Webber won the pole vault with a height of 12 feet, 6 inches, three feet more than the second place finisher. The Storm scored 117 points.
