Bellingham shows mental toughness in 7-0 win over Burlington-Edison

Bellingham’s girls’ tennis team won every match in straight sets in its 7-0 victory against Burlington-Edison on Friday, May 1, at Burlington-Edison High School.

Red Raiders Mariah Miller, Ruby Parker and Keara Kintzele won their matches despite playing hard sets, Bellingham coach Steve Chronister said in a phone interview.

“The most mentally tough match we’ve played this year,” Chronister said. “None of it was easy. I thought our doubles were very clever and did a lot of smart things at the right time.”

Bellingham will take on Squalicum next at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, on the road.
