Ferndale wins 2 doubles matches in 5-2 loss to Sedro-Woolley

Ferndale won its No. 1 and No. 2 doubles in its 5-2 loss against Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, April 22, at Sedro-Woolley High School.

Shelby Slaughter and Carly Bannerman defeated their opponent 6-4, 6-1. Sophia Chahine and Haley Schulz defeated their opponent 6-2, 6-3 for Ferndale.

“Our team as a whole didn’t play well,” Ferndale coach Ed Sweitzer said in a phone interview. “Not one of our better days. It’s disappointing today.”

Ferndale will take on Bellingham next at 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, on the road.
