Dorr sisters get No. 1 doubles win for Squalicum

Squalicum’s girls’ tennis team was defeated by Burlington-Edison 5-2 on Wednesday, April 22, at Burlington-Edison High School.

The Storm’s No. 1 doubles pair of Rachel and Kim Dorr defeated their opponent 6-1, 6-2 in the only doubles win of the match.

“Kim and Rachel are a strong pair. They’re playing well,” Squalicum coach Joe O’Brien said in a phone interview.

Susan Laitsch defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles match for the Storm.

“Suasan had a good matchup and played well tonight,” O’Brien said.

Squalicum will take on Anacortes at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, at home.
