Breanna Chau and Kjirsten Larsen defeated their opponent in the No. 3 doubles to give Blaine’s girls’ tennis team a 4-3 win against Sedro-Woolley on Monday, April 20, at Blaine High School.
“It had been close the whole time,” Blaine coach John Freal said in a phone interview. “They were a little more consistent than Sedro-Woolley today and were able to pick their spots at the end.”
Freal also highlighted Gretchen Kordas and Kaitlyn Sharp in the No. 2 doubles for playing a good match and giving a good effort in their win.
Blaine will take on Anacortes next at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, on the road.
