Emily Pittis won the 1,600 to lead Sehome’s girls’ track and field team to a third-place finish at the Eason Invitational on Saturday, April 18, at Snohomish High School.
Pittis ran a winning time of 5 minutes, 4 seconds, a 2A state leading time, in the 1,600.
The Mariners’ 4x200 relay team finished second with a time of 1:46.27 and the 4x400 relay team finished third with a time of 4:08.
In the field events, Chanelle Eddy threw a mark of 39 feet, 8.50 inches in the shot put for second place and a third-place mark of 113-00 in the discus. Bridget Henry finished second in the high jump with a mark of 5-00. Jessa Clark won the triple jump with a mark of 33-04.75.
Sehome will compete next in the Northst Conference championships at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Civic Stadium.
